staticelectricitybuild-upbytouchingalargegrounded

metalsurface(suchasthecomputercase)forseveral

seconds.AlsobecarefultohandlethePCIExpresscard

byitsedgesandnotthegoldconnectors.

1.Makesurethatyoursystemisunpoweredand

unpluggedandyouaregrounded.

2.Removethecoverofyoursystem(refertocomputer

systemdocumentation,ifnecessary)sothatthePCI

Expressexpansionslotopeningsonthemotherboard

areaccessible.

3.AlignthePCIExpressconnectorontherisercard

withanavailablePCIExpressslot.

4.Gentlyinsertthecardintotheemptyslot,making

sureitisseatedrmly.Fastenthecardtotheriser
