The Boot Software (BSW) is a generic boot software for ARM SAMV71Q21RT and SAMRH71F20 microcontrollers,
developed in compliance with European Space Agency (ESA) SAVOIR (For more information, see
SAVOIR-GS-002,
SAVOIR Flight Computer Initialisation Sequence Generic Specication
) requirements and structured according
to service oriented architecture dened by PUS-C standard (For more information, see
ECSS-E-ST-70-41C, ECSS
- Space engineering Telemetry and Telecommand Packet Utilization
). The BSW meets ECSS Criticality Category
B requirements (For more information, see
ECSS-E-ST-40C, ECSS – Space engineering Software
and
ECSS-Q-
ST-80C, ECSS – Space Product Assurance Software Product Assurance
) and it data pack includes a qualication
test suite.

•Initialize the processor and its peripherals
•Perform low-level self-tests of the microcontroller’s hardware modules
•Boot the application software (ASW)
•Enable maintenance of the ASW
•Enable post-mortem investigations of the ASW
